Ultramarathon Revisited

OK I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I started reading the training schedule for an ultra marathon and realized that I am no where near ready for that. It has been three months since I ran in the Nike 5 Mile in LA. The only training I have done since then is run in the 5k Breast Cancer Run. Not really a vigorous training program.

Here is the ultra marathon training schedule. http://www.halhigdon.com/ultramarathon/schedule.html

I have decided instead to start with marathon training. Of course based on what I've read I am not ready for that either. So I am going to follow the advice on this website http://www.marathontraining.com They have what amoiunts to a 40 week training for a marathon. I am going to start with the 19 week training and see how I do. I haven't had a long term goal like this since college so it will be interesting to see if I can stick to it. Beginning Tuesday night January 2, 2007 I am going to be on my way. Three miles Tuesday night. This is going to be fun.

who is papa breen?

Ultramarathon? I'll believe it only if it includes ultra driking and ultra ice cream.

At least you have the support of your family.

Once again, high hopes have been dashed; Califraudia McCombs continues its unfettered crapulence. Stay un-tuned, everybody!
